Opening pathways to healing for child victims of crime.
When the victim of a crime is a child, child-centered case coordination and timely support services can help facilitate justice and healing.
We’re committed to Texas children in need
Our child-centered response prioritizes safety and justice whenever children are victimized by:
- physical or sexual abuse
- witnessing violent crime
- mass violence
We coordinate timely services so kids aren’t left to carry trauma alone.
We improve the way Texas responds to child victims of crime
When a child experiences crime, CACTX and CACs stand ready to respond. In safe, child-friendly environments, CAC multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) work together to support children and caregivers through:
- multidisciplinary case review
- case coordination
- forensic interviews
- medical evaluations
- evidence-based mental health services
- case management and victim support
Statewide strength. Local impact.
CACTX coordinates people, partners, and systems so children don’t fall through the cracks. Through statewide advocacy, a strong network of local CACs, and a proven multidisciplinary team model (MDT), we deliver lasting change that protects kids and helps families heal.
